Discover the natural beauty and vibrant culture that inspires Rosenkrantz design
Our distinctive jewelry draws inspiration from the striking wilderness of Africa, the origin of our raw and beautiful gems.
Rosenkrantz procures a stunning array of sapphires, rubies, emeralds, tanzanite and more from our mines in Tanzania and Zimbabwe. Our design pairs the wild vivacity of Africa with contemporary minimalism and rich, unique concepts.
Sustainable. Ethical. Community-Led
Our dazzling jewelry would never come to fruition without the support and engagement of the local community at the Rosenkrantz mine. We pride ourselves on building great relationships with residents and working together to create a sustainable, ethical sourcing process.
Rosenkrantz is community-driven, development-focused, and committed to ethical practices in every arena. This is why our collections pay tribute to the people who work tirelessly at the source.
The Origins of Rosenkrantz Gems
Rosenkrantz gives you the assurance of quality, integrity, and originality, but also shares the origin of the stones in our pieces. From source to display, creation of Rosenkrantz pieces is transparent, ethical, and secure.

We pride ourselves on using our local knowledge to create long-term, sustainable employment solutions and opportunities to the residents.
WILDLIFE INSPIRATION
We take our inspiration from Africa, the natural features around our mines, and the local wildlife. That’s why, when we met Jotto the African elephant calf, we knew we’d found our most valuable partner in design. He is the inspiration for our elephant-skin textured bracelets, and he has modelled them exclusively for us since Iver Rosenkrantz, CEO, adopted him in 2017.
Animal adoptions in Africa involve donations as payment for care and upkeep of the local wildlife in its natural habitat, focusing on one animal per donor, and we couldn’t be prouder to be part of such a noble initiative.
Iver and Oryahe
Iver Rosenkrantz has worked with artisanal miners and the gems of Tanzania for over a decade, alongside his friend and guide, Oryahe, a Maasai Chief.
With this experience, he has established his own group of mines which unify ethical practices and luxury goods which form the core of the Rosenkrantz brand.
“I like my jewellery to retain its rich history, and I believe Mother Nature is the best designer, so most of the sapphires, for instance, retain their dusty look or rock residue on the surface”.
